Centerline Environmental is an environmental and water resource consulting firm based in California. The company was created with the goals of protecting human health and the environment, providing unsurpassed customer service, and helping clients achieve project objectives in the most efficient way possible.

As principal at Centerline, Robert “Bob” Lindfors, P.E., has more than 30 years of experience in project management, consulting, and engineering related to planning, design, design-build, construction management, and operations and maintenance of complex infrastructure projects. His project history includes water supply, treatment, storage, and distribution; wastewater conveyance, treatment, and re-use; and all phases of hazardous waste operations, from preliminary site assessments and investigations to remedial design, remedial actions, and site closures. 

Mr. Lindfors has worked for a wide variety of clients including government agencies, oil and gas companies, and tech businesses.  His contractor experience and training with the US Army Corps of Engineers and Department of the Navy have ingrained in him the highest standards for quality in design engineering and technical submittals, and an unwavering commitment to health and safety and quality issues during construction and operations. 

Mr. Lindfors specializes in system optimization in many diverse applications, and has an innate ability to derive solutions to a wide-variety of problems. He is an expert at groundwater production, treatment, and aquifer restoration. 

Mr. Lindfors attended the University of California at Berkeley, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Natural Resources, specializing in water resources and conservation, and a Master’s degree from the Department of Civil Engineering, specializing in flow through porous media and hydraulics.  He is a registered civil engineer in California and Arizona, and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Water Works Association.
